How it works

Methodology

This site is built around practical planning data. Refresh dates stay visible so players can judge whether a rod, code, fish, or location note still fits the current game.

Rod Score

The planner ranks coin rods that score above your current rod, then chooses the highest score you can afford. If none fit, it shows the cheapest higher-scoring coin rod as a saving target. If none beat your current rod, it keeps your current rod. Budget selects eligible rods; it is not part of the score. Location provides separate dated route guidance and does not change the ranking.

round(luck × luck weight + speed × speed weight + √max kg × capacity weight × 12 + tier bonus)

Tier bonuses are S+ 34, S 22, A 10, B 3 and otherwise 0. These weights are editorial choices, not measured catch odds, coins per hour or a guarantee of catching a particular fish. The separate tier list adds 8 points for coin rods to reflect access; it is a general comparison rather than your budget-specific recommendation.

Update Labels

Verified is the stored check classification; use the record's date to judge its age. Estimated means the available records and stat pattern agree well enough for planning. Moving fast means the item can change quickly after events, code drops, or index updates.

When To Use The Score

Use the score to compare normal coin upgrades. For quest, event, or gamepass rods, compare the table notes with what you can actually unlock in your own run.
